As if thirty years of
marriage is not adventure enough, we buy a van and drive off down the road leaving behind friends, family,
community, and beautiful Whidbey Island, WA.
Our 2005 Sprinter Airstream Westfalia has been dubbed Thistle, where we get snagged, we will stay. For an indeterminate period of time, living as RV nomads, we will explore North America's nooks and crannies. Thistle will always remind us of our desire to be hooked by new experiences.

Our tandem riding passion will be fueled by finding great back roads to ride and seeking out Rails to Trails. As well as biking, we will write, blog, hike, compute, read, explore and play.
Designer, builder, hiker, and best son ever, Brad, with his ever wonderful wife, Yessi, are our kids. They met in New Zealand, reconnected in China, reconnected again in the US, and now they're married and living on Whidbey Island.

Ed and Fran set their traipsing adventure in motion in 2014, along with this telling-the-travel-tale blog. Fran does the writing but holds some hope Ed will jump in.
Thank you for reading our blog.

How exciting! No more ferry encounters, Ed? Best wishes...
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb. We'll be back often enough for ferry encounters.
